Petit Jean Electric Cooperative and Today's Power, Inc. Announce Groundbreaking Event for 1 MW Solar



Clinton, Arkansas - May 25, 2023 - Petit Jean Electric Cooperative (PJE) and Today's Power, Inc. (TPI) are thrilled to announce the groundbreaking for their joint venture, a 1 MW solar site in Clinton, Arkansas. This pioneering project marks a significant step towards clean and sustainable energy for the region.

The 1 MW solar site is a testament to Petit Jean Electric Cooperative's and Today's Power, Inc.'s unwavering commitment to providing reliable and affordable electricity while embracing renewable resources. Once operational, this solar facility is expected to generate approximately 2,00,000 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity in year one, powering the equivalent of 193 of homes and reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 1,529 metric tons.

Petit Jean Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving approximately 21,000 members across seven counties in north-central Arkansas.
