North Little Rock, Ark. — Oct. 8, 2024 — Derek Dyson, CEO of Today's Power, Inc. (TPI) recently passed away.
Dyson had a distinguished career in the renewable energy sector. He was a transformative leader whose insights were vital to TPI’s ongoing success. Dyson’s unwavering support for the TPI team members made a significant impact on the organization and its customers.
“Derek’s belief in the value of teamwork fostered an environment that ensured every voice and employee mattered,” said TPI Board Chairman Rodney Chapman. “His passion for nurturing a collaborative and inclusive workplace helped shape the foundation of TPI. He will be greatly missed by all, but his legacy will live on.”
According to Chapman, beyond his role at TPI, Dyson was deeply invested in his family. As a father of two and one of 10 siblings, he cherished the time spent with his loved ones and often spoke about the importance of family in his life.
TPI General Counsel John Elkins will serve as interim CEO of TPI while the organization performs a national search for a new CEO.
Elkins stated, "Derek’s vision and dedication to TPI will continue to inspire us as we navigate this transition. I am committed to honoring his legacy and ensuring that we continue to support the community."
